I'm Yousuf Khan, a software engineer based in Karachi, Pakistan. I work with businesses and founders, leading projects personally and bringing in trusted specialists when needed.
From hands-on development to leading teams
I started as an intern at Qavi Technologies in 2017 and grew into a team lead on a warehouse management platform. At Bykea, I led Delivery and Payments squads and worked on services used in a busy ride and delivery platform.
My experience also includes modernization planning for ValueLink and work on PractiCal's meal subscription platform through Technyx Systems. As a freelancer, I built the backend for MyElly's family memory-sharing platform.
How I approach a project
I want to understand what the software needs to do before deciding how to build it. We discuss the problem, look at any existing system, and agree on a useful first step.
You can speak directly to me about progress and decisions. If the work needs design, frontend development, or another specialist skill, I bring in collaborators and keep responsibility for coordinating delivery.
Working across time zones
I'm based in Pakistan and offer remote services to clients in the UK, UAE and Gulf, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. We agree on meeting times and communication that work for the engagement.
